LETI: LETI’s Training in Power and Electrical Engineering Is in the Top 10 According to RAEX

ETU “LETI” ranked 9th in the subject rankings for “Power and Electrical Engineering,” prepared as part of the ecosystem of rankings “Three University Missions.”

RAEX Agency (RAEX-Analytics) has published rankings of the best universities in Russia in 29 areas, including natural sciences and engineering, mathematics, social sciences and humanities, medicine, and pedagogy. The project was supported by the Russian Union of Rectors, and the project operator is the Association of Rankings Compilers.

St. Petersburg Electrotechnical University “LETI” took 12th place in Power and Electrical Engineering.

“Being in the top 10 of the ranking by subject demonstrates that the Faculty of Industrial Automation and Electrical Engineering of LETI provides students with up-to-date knowledge. The university places the emphasis on acquiring practical skills. Bachelor’s degree graduates have all the competencies necessary to work in modern companies specializing in electrical engineering and technologies, automation. These include: design of electrical machines, synthesis of automatic control systems, programming and industrial automation technology, induction hardening technology and application of electromagnetic fields. In the master’s program, students acquire analytical skills that later enable them to create new technologies. Many faculty graduates become high-level managers in large companies.”

At LETI, the Faculty of Industrial Automation and Electrical Engineering and its units, the Department of Automatic Control Systems, the Department of Electrical Technology and Converter Engineering, and the Department of Robotics and Industrial Automation, train prodessionals in Electrical Power and Electrical Engineering.

In 2021, 177 people graduated from the faculty. Many of them started working in their specialty when they were students. For many years, the faculty has been cooperating with Power Machines, Kirov Plant, Nevsky Plant, Rakurs group, Krylov State Scientific Center, Central Research and Development Institute of Robotics and Technical Cybernetics, Concern Elektropribor in organizing internships for students and employment of graduates.
