Live streaming of the Union Budget

Aligarh : The department of Economics, AMU arranged the live streaming of the Union Budget 2023-24. The live streaming was organized at two places in the Department, first in the Room No.EC-01 and second in the chamber of Chairman. The live streaming was attended by a large number of students of undergraduate classes, postgraduate classes, research scholars, faculty members and non-teaching staff of the Department of Economics.

The convener of the programme Prof Md Abdus Salam, Chairman, Department of Economics, appreciated the Union Budget 2023-24 and said that this budget has covered all the sections of the society thereby, promoting inclusive growth in India. He further added that raising the tax rebate limit from 5 to 7 lakh is a welcome step in this direction.

Dr Shirin Rais, Department of Economics was the co-convener of the live streaming programme.
