LMD Kishtwar conducts market checking

Kishtwar: Legal Metrology Department (LMD) Kishtwar conducted market checking in Kishtwar town, Mughalmaidan, Sigdi, Mulchaiter and adjoining areas and booked 12 traders for various violations.

They were fined a composition sum of Rs 24000 (Twenty four thousands only) for use of defective weighing instruments and lack of proper declarations on pre-packaged.

The traders were advised to use only verified weighing and measuring instruments for commercial transactions and to desist from sale of Non-Standard pre-packaged commodities without required declarations for the information for the consumers.
