Lullaby Competition organised in government schools
KATHUA : Directorate of School Education Jammu, today organised a ‘Lullaby Competition’ in schools across Jammu division wherein students represented love and emotions for parents through beautifully composed poems, songs and quotes.
Similar competitions were organised in government schools of district Kathua as well, under the aegis of ‘Azaadi ka Amrut Mahotsav’ flagship programme and under the guidance of Prakash Lal Thapa, Chief Education Officer Kathua.
In his message, Prakash Lal Thapa said that such co-curricular activities help in shaping the creative self of the students and hence are an important part of the National Education Policy-2020.
Lullabies help in expressing and strengthening the emotional bond between the parents and children, which in turn helps in ensuring the emotional and psychological wellbeing of children as well as parents, he added.
Expressing pleasure on the vast amount of creative and artistic talent at display, Thapa showered praises on the participating students and congratulated the HoIs and Teachers for the smooth conduct of the programme.
The competition saw a large number of students participating enthusiastically through online as well as offline mode while adhering to COVID-19 guidelines.
