Madhya Pradesh CM Chouhan pays tribute to Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and former PM Shri Shastri
Bhopal : Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan paid tributes to both great personalities on Gandhi-Shastri Jayanti today. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan offered floral tributes to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Late. Lal bahadur Shastri at CM House. The Chief Minister paid tributes by garlanding the portrait of the Father of the Nation at Gandhi Bhavan. He addressed the programme organized on the occasion in Gandhi Bhavan auditorium. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the thoughts of Mahatma Gandhi, are not only useful for the world even today, but his thoughts and philosophy have the solution to several problems. Shri Chouhan said that today we believe Gandhiji but do not follow him. The need of the hour is to follow the path of truth and non-violence shown by Gandhiji. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that we cannot force others, but we can follow the teachings and behave accordingly. On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan sought information about the activities of Gandhi Bhavan. The programme was conducted by Shri Mahesh Saxena.
Garlands offered at Old Assembly Square
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan paid tributes to the former Prime Minister, Late Lal Bahadur Shastri by garlanding his portrait at the Old Assembly (Minto Hall) Square. Shri Chouhan said that Shastri ji became the Prime Minister for a short time but he gave significant services to the nation. Shastri ji’s mantra “Jai Jawan-Jai Kisan” is relevant even today. A number of citizens were also present at the programmes organized at Gandhi Bhavan and Shastri Tiraha.
