Madhya Pradesh: Decide and inform about final year universities’ examination procedure within 2 days
Bhopal : The Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that a decision not to hold universities’ examinations of the first and second year graduation and first year examination of post graduation in the state was taken in the past. Admission in final year/semester will be given on the basis of marks obtained in previous examinations. Examination of final year/semester will be conducted as per the new guidelines of the UGC. Online examination of final year in Technical education colleges will be conducted. As regard to offline examination in all colleges, procedure should be decided and informed within 2 days, he added.

The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was holding a meeting at Mantralaya in context to universities’ examinations in view of new guidelines of UGC. The Higher Education Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Minister for Technical Education Smt. Yashodhara Raje Scindia, Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains, Principal Secretary Higher Education Shri Anupam Rajan, Principal Secretary Technical Education Smt. Caralyn Khongwar, Vice Chancellor of R.G.P.V. and other officers concerned were present at the meeting.
Final year examinations to be taken by 30 September
In the meeting, Principal Secretary Shri Anupam Rajan informed that as per the new instructions of UGC, final year examinations are to be held by September 30. Admission to the next class is to be granted on the basis of internal assessment in the first and second year. Final year/semester exams can be conducted online/offline or in a combined method.
Final year examinations in technical education to be conducted online
Technical Education Minister Smt. Yashodhara Raje Scindia informed that technical education colleges will have online based examinations. Earlier also online examination has been conducted by RGPV University. RGPV Vice Chancellor said that four question papers are to be conducted in the final year of technical education. About 35 thousand students are going to write the exam in the final year under the university.
Procedure will be decided in 10 days
Higher Education Minister Shri Mohan Yadav said that there are about 6 lakh students in the colleges of the state. The procedure of taking offline examination is being decided. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan directed that due to Corona crisis, the examination should be held in such a way that there is no risk of spreading Corona infection. For this, the procedure should be decided and presented in two days. Decision on it will be taken accordingly.
