Madhya Pradesh : Employment fairs to be organized to provide jobs to labourers Directives issued by State Government
Bhopal : A “Rozgar Setu” has been created to connect the skills of labourers with employers. Besides registration of labourers, registration of employers has also been done on the portal of this scheme, which facilitates online jobs. Apart from this, employment fairs will be organized in the identified districts under the first phase to provide employment opportunities to the registered labourers under the Sambal Yojana and labourers of Madhya Pradesh, who have returned from other states.
Committee under Chairmanship of Collector
Employment Fair Committees at district level have been constituted under the chairmanship of Collectors to organize employment fairs. CEO of District Panchayat will be the Coordinator of the Committe. District Employment Officer or General Manager, District Industries Centre will be Member Secretary of the committee. The committee comprises General Manager, District Industries Centre, Manager AKVN, Executive Engineer Public Works, Executive Engineer Water Resources, Commissioner Municipal Corporation / Municipality Officer, General Manager Rural Road Authority, PIU Public Works Department, SE / DE. of Power Distribution Company, Assistant Commissioner Labour / District Labour Officer and Deputy Commissioner / Executive Engineer will be members of Madhya Pradesh Housing Board.
Employment fairs will be organized in the third week of June. In districts where more labourers are registered, employment fairs will be organized on priority basis. Every labourer will be informed by SMS. Transportation arrangement to bring labourers to fairs and their return will be made. There will also be an arrangement of food and water at fair venue.
It is said in the directives that it is mandatory to strictly follow all the guidelines issued by the Government of India and the Government of Madhya Pradesh regarding prevention of corona virus at the fair venue. The fair venue will be sanitized. Hand washing and thermal scanning must also be arranged. Social distancing must be ensured.
