Mahila Shakti Kendra Kishtwar celebrates World Health Day in collaboration with District Hospital
Kishtwar : District level Centre for Women, Mahila Shakti Kendra (MSK) in collaboration with District Hospital Kishtwar today celebrated World Health Day by hosting an awareness camp.
Medical superintendent, District Hospital, Dr Parvez Iqbal Wani; Senior Surgeon Dr Ravinder Singh; Dr.Javed; Dr V.R Pandita; Dr Pavitar; Dr.Arif Rashid; Dr Kehkasha; Dr Saroj; Women Welfare Officer MSK Roohie Sharma; District Co-Ordinator MSK Shanu Rana and paramedical staff were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Parvez Iqbal Wani said that World Health Day is observed every year on April 7 since 1950.
“This day is aimed at creating awareness of a specific health theme and also to highlight a priority area of concern and this year theme urges us to take some action which helps to eliminate health inequalities and mobilize action to attain better health for all and leave no one behind” he said. He assured that everyone will have quality health services where and when they need them so that no one will suffer.
Dr Arif Rashid and Dr Ravinder also talked about the importance and various aspects of World Health Day and ways to stay healthy during this pandemic.
Women welfare officer MSK, while speaking on the occasion, congratulated all the health warriors for doing fabulous job especially during this pandemic, She said from the very beginning of the pandemic, frontline healthcare workers have been working tirelessly with their own needs often neglected.
She also talked about the life style changes that ‘we should make in order to avoid fetal diseases.’ She urged all the women to give importance to their health, especially reproductive health over other responsibilities so that they live a good and quality life.
Awareness regarding COVID-19 guidelines and SOPs were also imparted to the participants on the occasion.
