15th of December 2022 marks the inauguration of the 10th IEEE Power Electronics, Drives and Energy Systems (PEDES-2022) at Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT), Jaipur, Rajasthan, India, under the generous patronage of shri R. K. Tyagi ji (Chairman BOG) and Tomy Sebastian (Past President-IEEE IAS Society and Director of Halla Mechatronics). The occasion was graced by Prof. N. P. Padhy, Director MNIT Jaipur, Liuchen Chang Chief Guest, Prof. Mariusz Malinowski Guest of Honour. On the event other distinguish guest Prof. Joachim Holtz, Prof. Mariusz Malinowski, Prof. Prasad Enjeti, Prof. H.P. Tiwari HoD, Electrical Engineering MNIT, General Chairs Prof. Rajesh Kumar, Prof. Akshay Rathore and the conveners of the conference Dr. Dipti Saxena and Dr. Akhilesh Mathur,Dr. Kapil Shukla, Dr. Sarvana Prakash P, Dr. Satyanarayana Neeli and Dr. Man Mohn Garg, Dr. Sandeep N, Dr. Nitin Gupta were also present in the event. At the event, Director MNIT addressed the audience with the theme of PEDES-2022. He talked about how the renewable energy has become essential to re-write the wrongs of previous industrial revolution. He also said that the conference will provide a platform to discuss how to operate different business process in a more eco-friendly manner. Further he also explain the vital role of power electronics in the mission of world de-carbonization by integrating renewable energy into the grid. The honourable director further welcomed the distinguish guest and the participant across the world. He wished everyone to have productive interaction at the conference with different technical expertise across the world and to have an enjoyable stay and time at the Green Campus of MNIT. Prof. Rajesh Kumar the General Chair, gave an overview of the conference. He told that the conference, 385 research papers were presented. Out of which 385 were selected for research works, 179 papers were presented offline, 147 presented online and 59 papers were presented through a poster showcase. The presentations were conducted over a total of 53 sessions, where 24 were offline, and 29 were online, under the guidance of 57 technical session chairs. These papers are from India, USA, Australia, Canada, UAE, Singapore, Denmark, Poland, Italy, Bangladesh, and UK. The inaugural event was concluded with vote of thanks by the convener Dr. Dipti Saxena. Besides the inaugural session in the evening, the second day of the conference three plenary session from distinguish guest Prof. Joachim Holtz, Prof. Mariusz Malinowski, Prof. Prasad Enjeti. In addition to this twelve technical session and two poster presentation of different research area were also key highlights of the day.
