Master class in social studies

Senior Lecturer of the Department of Theory of Law and Civil Law Disciplines of the Institute of Economics and Law of PetrSU, Senior Expert of the Regional Commission of the RK Unified State Exam on Social Studies, Chairman of the Subject Commission of the Municipal and Regional Stages of the All-Russian Olympiad for Schoolchildren in Social Studies in the Republic of Karelia Irina Yurievna Biserova held a master class on preparation for Unified State Exam in Social Studies for 11th grade graduates of Sortavala district schools.
For the most effective preparation for difficult summer tests, those present were recommended literature from the federal list of textbooks and online resources for self-study.

A step-by-step preparation algorithm is proposed, specific advice on memorizing voluminous economic, political and legal information is given, the secrets of performing some tasks of the second part of the KIM in social studies are revealed.

Particular attention was paid to the rules of writing task 29 (mini-essay): difficult and therefore the most “expensive” task in the examination work in social studies.

High-quality performance of a mini-essay gives additional points for admission.

The practical part of the topic “Politics” and “Political Process” aroused particular interest among schoolchildren. Those present repeated the principles of the constitutional system of the Russian Federation, studied the concept, types, stages and features of political processes in Russia, taking into account the amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation.

According to the organizers, 40 people took part in the event.

The organizers express their gratitude for the help in organizing the event to the methodologist of the Information and Methodological Center of the city of Sortavala, Elena Koroleva, and the teacher of history and social studies of the Sortavala secondary school No. 1, Musatova Elena Borisovna.

The event was implemented within the framework of cooperation between PetrSU and the Sortavala Municipal District under the Program for the Development of the Pivotal University.
