Webinar for schoolchildren in English
The resource center for modern methods of teaching foreign languages on the basis of the Department of Foreign Languages in the Humanities of the Institute of Foreign Languages continues to work to strengthen cooperation and interaction between the university and educational institutions of the regions of the Republic of Karelia.
The webinar for schoolchildren was dedicated to the creation of projects in the Digital Storytelling format in English.
A webinar was held by Irina Evgenievna Abramova, Doctor of Philosophy, Head of the Department of Foreign Languages in the Humanities of PetrSU, and Elena Petrovna Shishmolina, Ph.D. teachers and students, as a result of which a complete product of students’ independent work is created.
The webinar participants learned about the methods of effective communication using information technologies, as well as the distinctive features of this type of projects, their types, and in what software products they are executed. Particular attention was paid to how to make the desired impact on the audience with your speech, and examples of the work of PetrSU students were also demonstrated.
The webinar resulted in interesting creative projects of schoolchildren sent to the annual competition of digital stories in English. The guys managed to take prizes.
