Meeting on the master’s program “Nordic studies: language, history, culture”
A working meeting was held on the ZOOM platform dedicated to the opening of a new network master’s program “Nordic studies: language, history, culture”.
The master’s program will be implemented jointly by Petrozavodsk State University and Murmansk Arctic State University (MASU).
The meeting was attended by: from the side of PetrSU – program manager, associate professor E.A. Safron and head. Department of Germanic Philology and Scandinavian Studies N.G. Sharapenkova, I.M. Solomeshch, Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign History, Political Science and International Relations, from the MASU – Head. Department of History and Law Yu.P. Bardileva and associate professor M.B. Ilyichev.
The meeting discussed issues related to the general strategy of interaction between the two universities, the organization of entrance examinations for the magistracy and teaching practice, possible options for international cooperation with the Scandinavian countries.
The range of disciplines of this master’s program covers the main aspects of the cultural-anthropological, historical and political development of the Nordic countries – from mythology and Russian-Scandinavian historical and literary ties to models of the socio-economic development of Finland, Sweden, Norway, Germany, and the countries of the Baltic region.
