Meeting with biologists of PetrSU
Within the framework of agreements on cooperation with the Kemsky region and the implementation of the roadmap measures, a meeting with biologists of PetrSU was held at the Rabocheostrovsk secondary school.
Vera Ivanovna Androsova, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Botany and Plant Physiology, Anastasia Andreevna Starodubtseva, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Botany and Plant Physiology of the Institute of Biology, Ecology and Agrotechnology of PetrSU conducted an interactive lesson for 11th grade students of the Rabocheostrovskaya Secondary School of the Kemsky District ” Osmosis in plant life ”.
Scientists told students about osmotic phenomena in plant life. With the help of special equipment, the teachers of PetrSU conducted online experiments, and the students were able to see and discuss osmotic phenomena based on model objects and living cells of plants and ask scientists questions.
As the school teachers note, the lesson materials contained valuable additional information and optimally combined scientific and practical orientation, the demonstrated experiments in real time using a digital laboratory aroused great interest among high school students.
It was very interesting to watch how university scientists conduct experiments in the laboratory especially for us.
I was very interested in the topic of osmosis. Everything was interesting and cool. The profession of a biologist is interesting. I think to consider PetrSU as my university,
