Mega Integrated Textile Region to be developed on Ratlam-Mumbai-Delhi Expressway: CM Chouhan

Bhopal : Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan viewed the demonstration of the Road Map 2021-26 of the multi-dimensional development plan of Atmanirbhar Ratlam at the Collector auditorium in Ratlam today. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan issued instructions to move ahead on the work plan of Mega Integrated Textile Region for Apparel on Ratlam-Mumbai Expressway with an investment of Rs. 18 thousand crores. He said that Ratlam has to be established among the leading cities of the state. Planning should be made to develop it on the lines of a metro in the coming times. He said that a requirement of about 1800 hectares of land in this new investment area of ​​Ratlam has been shown, of which 256 hectares is private land. Private sector land will be developed on PPP mode. This investment will provide employment to 24 thousand people.

Collector Shri Gopal Dand gave a presentation of the development road map of Ratlam. He told that Ratlam is an important junction on the Delhi-Mumbai railway route. The distance from here to Pithampur is 100 kilometers and the distance to Indore Airport is only 144 kilometers. Ratlam city is very well connected to Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Surat etc. Members of Parliament Shri Guman Singh Damore, MLAs Shri Chaitanya Kashyap, Shri Rajendra Pandey and Shri Dilip Makwana were present in the meeting.

Instructions to provide public services through mobile app

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan directed that a park should be developed in Ratlam city with which it can be identified. According to information given by public representatives and administration, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan gave approval for the development of Amrit Sagar Lake. Rs 21 crore will be invested for the development of this lake. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan instructed to ensure that online services should be provided at a rapid pace so that it saves people in urban areas from frequently visiting the Municipal Corporation office. He also asked to develop an app for this.

In the meeting, the collector informed that 5227 houses have been approved under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Ratlam city, out of which 2737 have been completed. It was informed that water will be supplied daily in Ratlam city from July 2021. A 167-km-long sewer line is being laid under the AMRUT Yojana in Ratlam city, 82 percent of which has been completed. This work will be completed by June 30, 2021. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan instructed the concerned contractor to ensure quality repairing of the roads that may get damaged by laying sewer lines in Ratlam city.

Schemes worth Rs 276 crore approved

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan approved construction works worth Rs 126 crore for widening of City Ring Road and main roads of Ratlam city. In the meeting, approval was also granted for construction of commercial complex and parking at Manak Chowk, commercial complex haat bazaar and multi-story parking on Kothari Market land at Do Batti Chouraha.

It was informed that the aim is to convert all street lights of Ratlam city into LED. In the year 2020-21, 15 thousand 367 street lights have been replaced, which has saved more than Rs 2 crore on electricity consumption. A plan of Rs 128 crores for the revival of 2.45 hectare government land located in the middle of Ratlam city was also approved. Under this scheme, a new 300-bed district hospital, 1000-seater auditorium and 111 government houses will be built. A plan of Rs 22 crore was also approved for Ratlam Transport Nagar.
