More than 400 participants took part in the Kathgodam Half Marathon 2023 (5th edition).
The Kathgodam Half Marathon 2023, organized by Thrill Zone, had the theme “Run Against Drug Abuse.”
Kathgodam : The Kathgodam Half Marathon 2023 commenced at 6 AM on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at Shri Ram Marriage Hall in Gaulapar, Kathgodam. The theme for this edition was “Run Against Drug Abuse,” and approximately 400 men and women participated, using the marathon as a platform to spread awareness about drug addiction and the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
On this occasion, Mr. P.C. Kushwaha, the founder of Thrill Zone, said, “A healthy body is essential for a better society. A person must be physically fit for a healthy mind, speech, and actions. I am delighted to see the enthusiastic participation of athletes in the Kathgodam Half Marathon 2023. This year’s theme, ‘Run Against Drug Abuse,’ aims to raise awareness about the harmful effects of drugs and encourage people to lead a drug-free and healthy life. This is the 102nd edition of Thrill Zone’s marathon, which has been held across India over the past 8 years.”
In this marathon, players participated in 21 km (timed race), 10 km (timed race) and 5 km (non-timed race) categories.

In the age group of 18 to 30 years, Ranjit Singh Bisht was the winner for men and Garima Sharma was the winner for women.
Age group of 31 to 40 years, male Satish Sharma and female winner was Ayushi Kanwal.
Age group of 41 to 50 years, Ajay Kumar was the winner in the male category and Anuj Kutiyal was the winner in the female category.
Age group of 51 to 60 years, Kailash Mehra was the winner for men and Neema Bisht for women.
Shivendra Singh Bisht was the winner in the age group of 61+ years.
Winners of 10 km (timed race):
In the 18 years age group, Hifzan Khan was the winner in the men’s category and Asima Rana was the winner in the women’s category.
Pawan was the winner in the men’s category in the age group of 19 to 30 years.
In the age group of 31 to 40 years, Ashish Pandey was the winner in the men’s category and Babita was the winner in the women’s category.
In the age group of 41 to 50 years, Nandan Singh was the winner in the men’s category and Shivkar in the women’s category.
In the age group of 51 to 60 years, Shekhar Tripathi was the winner in the male category and Munni Joshi in the female category.
Javender Singh Bisht was the winner in the men’s category in the age group of 61+ years.
