New Delhi : The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) in collaboration with Korn Ferry organised a high-powered knowledge and networking breakfast event at the Taj Palace hotel on 2nd Sep’22. The event was attended by most of the senior most HR leaders of India as well as Mr. Hemang Jani, Secretary, Capacity Building Commission & Board Member, Karmayogi Bharat. Karmayogi Bharat’s mission is to develop and maintain a comprehensive platform that guides civil service officials to build competency-based capacity through online, face-to-face, and blended learning.

The event started with Ms. Achal Khanna, CEO-SHRM India, APAC & MENA, launching the Global Workplace Culture Report 2022. The report shows that having an average workplace culture just isn’t good enough in 2022 with almost 9 in 10 workers from India indicating that their manager encourages a culture of open and transparent communication. This indicates that competition is fierce and even organizations with average workplace cultures will need to quickly improve. Also, globally, majority of workplaces still endorse a positive work culture despite the turmoil caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mr. Hemang Jani, Secretary, Capacity Building Commission & Board Member, Karmayogi Bharat, shared his views on how the government is engaging the private sector to build the capacity of Indian bureaucrats to help the growth of New Indian Inc. According to him, “improving people is essential for improving processes and implementing policies more effectively in any organization. Through training, Mission Karmayogi aims to improve civil servants’ skills and train them in behavioural and functional competencies. Additionally, the capacity building programme will keep the bureaucracy up-to-date in terms of domain knowledge, behavioural proprieties, and a results-oriented approach. In order to make the programme successful, we look forward to working closely with the HR fraternity”.

We are delighted to hear from Mr. Hemang Jani, Secretary, Capacity Building Commission about the Karmoyogi Bharat mission, and look forward to working together to make it successful,” said Achal Khanna, CEO, SHRM India, APAC, and MENA.
