KISHTWAR  : As part of month-long Gram Swaraj Abhiyan, a wide range of activities were organised in different blocks of District Kishtwar by the Department of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj in collaboration with other line Department, PRI institutions under the close supervision of Panchayat Mentors.

At block Paddar, massive cleanliness drives were conducted across all Panchayats of the Block which witnessed huge participation of locals. The event was held in collaboration with PRIs and under the close supervision of the Block Development officer, Paddar D M Affaqi.

Similarly, a special Awareness camp on oline fraud (Cyber Crimes) was organised at panchayat Rahalthal of block Mughal Maidan, by CRISIL Foundation under the Supervision of LDM Kishtwar Nasir Bhat.

A financial literacy camp for opening of accounts, social security schemes, Mudra Loans etc was also organised at Village Suzna Palmar by CRISIL Foundation under the supervision of Lead District Manager.

Likewise, cleanliness drive besides awareness cum registration camp for enrolling the beneficiaries under various pro-people welfare scheme prescribed under 100 points programme were also conducted across the district under the guidance of Nodal officer/DPO Kishtwar Sunil Bhutyal and under the overall supervision of District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Ashok Sharma. The camp was held with an aim to realise the quantifiable results under various indicators of the 100 point programme under Gram Swaraj Abhiyan in the district.

Besides, the Panchayats secretariats were established at the designated places in each panchayat to extend all the public services to the people at their doorstep through a common Platform.
