MUMKIN Scheme: 7 Kishtwar youth become proud owners of Commercial Vehicles

 

KISHTWAR : Seven Youth of Kishtwar district today go the means for sustainable livelihood as they become proud owners of small commercial vehicles after availing the benefits of flagship Customized Livelihood Scheme MUMKIN of Mission Youth program.

Deputy Commissioner, Ashok Sharma handed over the keys to the beneficiaries, here at New DC office Complex in presence of District Nodal Officer (AD Employment) Anoop Kumar; Cluster head J&K Bank Kishtwar Ravin Sharma, Employment Officer DE&CC Kishtwar Waseem Ahmad Khan, besides representatives of TATA motors Ltd and Mahindra Group.

The beneficiaries who got the vehicles are Nazir Ahmed son of Ali Mohammad Lone, Sanjay Kumar son of Krishan Lal Bhagat, Imtiaz Ahmed son of Gh Haidar Malik, Naresh Kumar son of Paray Lal, Shehzada Begum daughter of Khushi Mohd, Mahfooza Begum daughter of Gh Mohi u Din and Bhanu Badyal son of Ramesh Badyal.

Earlier, in July 2021, three approved applicants Irshad Ahmad of Mughal Maidan; Almina Begum of Lower Lonepora and Mohd Ashraf of Kuntwara were also handed over the small commercial vehicles.

The MUMKIN scheme is a Customized Livelihood Scheme launched by LG J&K in November 2020 for the Youth in the age group 18-35. Under the Scheme Banking Partner extends loan facility to the extent of 100% of the On-road Price of the vehicle purchased. Mission Youth, J&K provides an amount of Rs 80,000 or 10% of on-road price of the vehicle (whichever is lesser) as upfront subsidy. The vehicle manufacturer (Scheme Partner of Govt) also provides an upfront special discount, not less than the amount of subsidy.

On the occasion, the DC Kishtwar congratulated the beneficiaries and wished them a prosperous life and career ahead.

The beneficiaries thanked the Govt of UT JK in general and District administration Kishtwar for this initiative.
