Nasha Mukt Bharat Campaign launched in Kishtwar

Kishtwar: To eradicate the menace of the drug abuse, District Development Commissioner, Kishtwar Rajinder Singh Tara today launched the Nasha Mukt Bharat Campaign here on at the Independence Day function.
Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has e- launched the Nasha Mukt Bharat Campaign in 272 most vulnerable Districts of country in terms of substance and alcohol abuse. Eight Districts of J&K, UT have been selected for Nasha Mukt Bharat Campaign including Kishtwar District, informed DSWO Kishtwar Tariq Parveaz Qazi.
Keeping in view the alarming rate of increasing drug abuse and alcoholism in District Kishtwar, a District Level Nasha Mukt Campaign Committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of DDC with District Social Welfare Officer as member secretary. A District action plan has been formulated for the financial year 2020-21 to carry out a series of outreach/awareness programmes by the Department of Social Welfare in convergence with other allied Departments.
