National Pharmacovigilance Week observations from September 17
Aligarh : A series of events will mark the ‘National Pharmacovigilance Week’ observations from September 17 to 23 at the ADR Monitoring Centre (AMC), Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).
The programme will be conducted under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India guidelines.
According to Prof Farida Ahmad (Coordinator, AMC): “The observations that will begin with the inauguration by Prof Rakesh Bhargava (Dean, Faculty of Medicine and Principal, JNMC) on September 17 will comprise ‘Sensitization Programme for Faculty Members and Resident Doctors’ on September 19, CME on Pharmacovigilance lined up on September 20, Pharmacovigilance Quiz scheduled on September 21, online poster contest planned on September 22 and the Valedictory Function and Prize Distribution ceremony on the final day”.
“ADR Monitoring Centre monitors the safety related to drugs and has been functioning under the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare for the last 11 years.
