National Webinar organized at Aligarh Muslim University
Aligarh: The Aligarh Muslim University in collaboration with St Alberts’ college, Ernakulam, Kerala organized a one day National Webinar on “Place and Space in Literature” on Tuesday.
The webinar was organized by Malayalam Sargavedi, the literary forum of the Malayalam Section of the department of Modern Indian Languages of Aligarh Muslim University.
More than 100 participants participated in the webinar which was inaugurated by Prof CR Prasad, Malayalam Critic and Registrar of University of Kerala. Prof Prasad also delivered the key note address.
Dr Ambikasutan Mangad, Fiction writer elaborated the concept of place depicted in Malayalam. He also shared the experience while writing his novel on the destruction of land and culture by the extensive usage of pesticides. Dr Mini Prasad, member, Sahitya Akademi and feminist critic explained the philosophy of eco-aesthetics. Prof Valsalan Vathusseri, Head of Malayalam, Sree Sankaracharya Sanskrit University, Kalady in his address analysed the concept of Place and evolution in Malayalam Literature. Mansi, short story writer critically elaborated the feminist writings with her own literary experiences.
