Navrachana University hosted its first ever Conclave on Changing Landscape of University Governance: Challenges and Opportunities
Vadodara, Navrachana University (NUV) hosted a unique Conclave on Changing Landscape of University Governance for the administrative staff of universities. More than 150 academic leaders, university officials, staff members, industry professionals participated in the one-day conclave held at University Campus in Bhayli, Vadodara.
Dr. Palak Sheth, Project Director of Jio Institute, inaugurated the conclave and expressed his excitement stating, “Participating in the conclave was a privilege. Navrachana University has demonstrated leadership in initiating such valuable conversations. The discussion on university governance is timed perfectly and it will foster a constructive dialogue on best practices, promote transparency, accountability, and encourage active participation in the decision-making process within higher education institutions.
The Conclave aimed to bring together academic leaders, scholars, policymakers, and industry professionals to critically examine the evolving patterns and challenges in university governance. It provides a platform for thought leaders to share insights, discuss best practices, and facilitate a constructive dialogue on key thematic areas, including Admission & Outreach, Career Development, HR Practices, Digital Innovation, Reimagining Library, and Mental Health & Wellbeing.
Convener and the Registrar of NUV, Prof. Sandeep Vasant expressed enthusiasm, stating, “This conclave serves as a platform to bring together diverse perspectives on the challenges and opportunities in university governance. We aim to create a space for meaningful discussions that will drive positive change in the higher education landscape.”
On the occasion, Smt. Tejal Amin, Chairperson, Navrachana University added that “As a leading institution, we believe in continuous improvement. The conclave is an opportunity for the academic community to share experiences, learn from each other, and collectively work towards enhancing the quality of higher education.”
