New Dean Students’ Welfare

Aligarh : Prof Abdul Alim has been appointed as the Dean Students’ Welfare (DSW), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).

A senior faculty member and a former Chairman of the Department of Hindi, Prof Alim held several important positions in the university. He was a Member of the Academic Council (2016-2018), Executive Committee of the Directorate of School (2017-2019) and the University Court (2018-2019).

He has also served as the Counsellor of the Distance Education Centre (1996-2010), Pro-Proctor and Deputy Proctor.

Prof Alim has published numerous papers in the peer reviewed journals and is the editorial board member to a number of journals and literary publications.

His trailblazing book, ‘Nazeer Akbarabadi Aur Unki Vichardhara’ was published by prestigious publisher Vaani and it is prescribed for the teaching of M A (Final) Course at the Department of Hindi, AMU; Hari Singh Gaur University, Sagar, MP and Vanasthali University in Vanasthali, Rajasthan.
