New education policy focuses not only on accessibility of education and empowerment but also on cultural and nationalist education: Amit Shah
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday said the new education policy focuses not only on the accessibility of education and empowerment but also on cultural and nationalist education. Addressing the convocation ceremony of Maharaja Sayajirao University in Vadodara, Mr. Shah urged young students to rise above the language complex and work for the development of their nation. He also stressed the importance of the mother tongue in expression. The Minister also recalled the impeccable contribution of Maharaja Sayajirao Gaikwad towards women empowerment, education, and social agricultural development during British rule.
More than 14 thousand students were conferred degrees during the convocation ceremony. Mr. Shah also virtually inaugurated the newly built Maharaja Rajnjitsinh Institute of Design on the occasion.
Tomorrow, Mr. Shah will visit Junagadh and Somnath to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for several new initiatives.
