Umamaheshwar Rao (Director, NIT Rourkela) addressed the session and talked about resource utilization and national growth. Chief Guest, Mr. Subhrakant Panda enlightened the audience on topics like startup ecosystems, industry-academia collaboration, and the global growth of India. He detailed about the young populace of India and how they are playing an essential role in nation-building and other various factors that contribute to the economic growth of India. He said, “Today, India has over a hundred plus unicorns, i.e., startups with a valuation of a billion dollars or more. UPI has been instrumental in projecting India as a financial superpower; even developed countries like the United States lag behind us in terms of innovations like the CoWin App, UPI (Unified Payments Interface), OLDC (Open Network for Digital Commerce), and e-KYC (Aadhar-based KYC), amongst others. This is our chance for leadership and we all should unite to be a part of it.”

The Guest of Honour, Mr. Arun Chawla hoped for more growth towards the Indian economy and said, “While the global growth itself has slowed down, and so have other countries, but in the case of India, it’s still expected to be at 6–6.5%, which will make us one of the fastest growing economies across the world. Let all understand what the future of work holds for the Indian economy and engage more in Technology-Driven Entrepreneurship.
