North-West University expert appointed as an associate fellow

Prof Ewelina Niemczyk from the North-West University’s (NWU’s) Faculty of Education and member of the Edu-HRight research unit has been appointed an associate fellow at the University of Westminster in London.

She says this is another important link to foster sustainable collaboration between the two institutions.

Prof Steve Greenfield from Westminster Law School, who is also an extraordinary professor at Edu-HRight, agrees with Prof Niemczyk on the prospects of reciprocal collaboration, and says he is committed to developing and promoting international collaboration with NWU colleagues.

Prof Niemczyk was also appointed the new editor-in-chief of the Southern African Review of Education (SARE) journal. She assumed the editorship of SARE during the last general meeting that took place in Cape Town at the conference of the Southern African Comparative and History of Education Society.

SARE is accredited by the Department of Higher Education and Training and provides a forum for critical discussions about education in the southern African region from a variety of disciplinary perspectives., It also focuses on the dissemination of current research and comparative findings, and has a broad, cross-disciplinary audience of scholars, researchers, and practitioners in the field of education.
