NYK Udhampur organises 3 days orientation training for volunteers at Dudu

 

UDHAMPUR : Nehru Yuva Kendra Udhampur, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India today started its last three Days Block level orientation training of youth volunteers and members of youth clubs on “Investors’ Awareness, Education and Protection” at Panchayat Dudu, Block Latti-Marothi of District Udhampur.

The objective of the programme was to make the people aware of various investment schemes, protection from Ponzi schemes and cyber frauds.

The three days programme was inaugurated by DDC Councillor, Pinky Devi, SDM Dudu, Kulraj Singh, Sarpanch, Dev Raj, in the presence of District Youth Officer, Khushal Gupta, Station House Officer, Tanvinder Singh, officials of JK Bank, police officials and members of youth clubs.

The programme started with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony followed by the welcome address by DYO Khushal Gupta. He briefed about the objectives of organizing three days orientation programme in one of the remotest panchayats of the district. He added that the event being organised in collaboration with IEPFA, Ministry of Corporate Affairs aims at sensitizing the youth about Cyber Frauds, Government Securities, Banking and Insurance, Equities, Mutual Funds and Post Office schemes.

He said that during the three days training, the resource persons/subject experts will deliver lectures associated with their respective departments. Mukesh Kumar (Manager JK Bank Dudu) gave an awareness lecture on various schemes and initiatives being taken by the government towards maximising financial inclusion. He made the youth aware about Atal Pension Yojana, Shram Yogi Man Dhan Yojana and different kinds of incentives that are given to the farmers and the marginalized.

JKP S.I Tanvinder Singh stressed on cyber frauds and cyber bullying and spoke about means of their redressal.

DDC Councillor, Pinky Devi appreciated the efforts of NYK Udhampur for reaching to the last mile and encouraged the youth to learn from such orientation programmes. She urged them to take this awareness at the village level. She focused on moral responsibility of all the citizens.

SDM Kulraj Singh also gave an awareness lecture and told about the steps being taken by the administration to prevent financial losses of common people.

Among others, NYVs Naresh Kumar, Pooja Devi, Anjali Sharma, Rakesh Singh, Anil Kumar and Anjali Anand were present.
