Odisha delegates visit Bhurthal village under Yuva Sangam II – the closing ceremony of Yuva Sangam phase II, the nodal institute of Rajasthan MNIT Jaipur

Jaipur: The Yuva Sangam program Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, a flagship initiative promoting an immersive experience of numerous facets of life, development and landmarks, ensuring multidimensional exposure under five broad areas – Paryatan (Tourism), Parampara (Traditions), Pragati (Development) and Paraspar Sampark (People to people connect), Prodyogik (Technology). As part of this program, the Odisha delegation participated in a number of on- and off-campus activities in association with MNIT Jaipur, including a visit to a village and block printing and a wellness session.
The Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Team (UBA), MNIT Jaipur organized a cultural visit on May 16, 2023 of 45 Yuva Sangam Delegates from Orissa, under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, they went door-to-door in Bhurthal village of Bassi Tehsil and discussed the lifestyle, farming, animal husbandry and culture of Rajasthan. The team took the experience with the living conditions of villagers, as well as discussed solutions to the problems of rural areas through innovation. The Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat Bhurthal, Mrs. Sarita Meena, welcomed everyone. Mrs. Snehlata, Principal of Senior Secondary School, Bhurthal, welcomed the delegates from Orissa and told them how the village’s children could also enhance their education level and contribute towards national development. Prof. Mahesh Kumar Jat, Dean of Student Welfare, informed everyone about the theme of the Yuva Sangam program under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat. Dr. M. L. Meena, UBA Coordinator, briefed about the development activities held in UBA villages and informed that Skill Development Program for the youth of the concerned villages would commence next month. The Rajasthani cultural program was organized on this occasion, and it also helped to exchange the cultural values of the participants. The youths from Orissa were glad to attend such an excellent cultural exchange program. After the visit, the delegates returned to MNIT JAIPUR.
As of May 17th, 2023, the morning began at 7 with a wellness session that continued till 8 o’clock. Delegates enjoyed their hand on block printing workshop from 9 – 11am in Girls Dining Hall, Acharya Bhawan. This workshop was helpful in learning the process of printing patterns by means of engraved wooden blocks. It is said to be the earliest, simplest and slowest of all methods of textile printing but capable of yielding highly artistic results. Next, from 11 to 1 pm, they visited MNIT Innovation and Incubation Centre situated in the campus which provides a platform for conceiving, realising, promoting and nurturing knowledge based innovation and entrepreneurship amongst all the aspiring entrepreneurs.
The group travelled to World Trade Park and GT until 4 in the afternoon for shopping and sightseeing. At 6 in the evening, all of the delegates took part in a plantation, and the day closed at 7 with a closing ceremony. The ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest Smt. Usha Sharma, Chief Secretary, Govt. of Rajasthan and was presided by Prof. N. P. Padhy, Director, MNIT Jaipur. Shri Sita Ram Lamba, Chairman, Rajasthan Youth Board, and Mr. Abhinav Banthia, Chairman, CII, Rajasthan Chapter were the Guest of Honour for the program.
