Online Guest Lecture on Public Policy and Legislative Interventions

Aligarh: The Department of Law, Aligarh Muslim University organized an online guest lecture on ‘Public Policy and Legislative Interventions: A Law and Development Perspective’ for B.A.LL.B (Hons) students of the course ‘Law and Development’. It was delivered by Ms Suvi Jain, an Alumna of AMU’s Law faculty, and currently the Advisor and Strategist- Public Policy Realization.

Ms Jain discussed the intricacies of Policy Analysis and Policy Advocacy with special reference to policy-making and planning processes in India. Elaborating on the various arenas of citizen participation to ensure good-governance, she highlighted major contemporary public policy and legislative interventions that have fostered socio-economic development in India. The lecture was followed by an interactive session with the students on contemporary issues confronting public policy making in India
