Oral health awareness programme held

ALIGARH : To spread oral health awareness amongst the school children, the Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry, Dr Ziauddin Ahmad Dental College, Aligarh Muslim University organized several awareness events, including drawing, sketching, essay writing competitions and online speech contest on the topic, “Dental Health Awareness”, for the students from different schools of Aligarh, marking the children’s day and the silver jubilee year of the Dr Ziauddin Ahmad Dental College. The winners were given prizes at a programme held in the department.

The awareness programmes were organized under the aegis of Indian Society of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry. Prof Divya Sanjay Sharma (Chairperson of the department), Prof M K Jindal, Prof Saima Yunus Khan, Dr Sadaf Ghani, Dr Imam Azam supervised the various events.

A live virtual interactive session was also held to answer the queries related to oral health asked by the school students. More than 600 students from various schools participated in these events.
