Commenting on the initiative, Dr. A.M Shafiq, CEO, Specialist Hospital said, “At Specialist Hospital, we strive to make a difference in the lives of our people, whether it is our patients, our staff or anyone associated with us. Through this drawing competition, we hoped to bring out the creative aspect in children and we are extremely happy that many of the contestants are children of the Specialist Family. We also had participation from children of four NGOs. The objective was to create awareness about India as a republic and let kids show their talent through innovative drawings.”
Renowned artist and activist Baadal Nanjundaswamy was the ‘Guest of honour’. He not only helped the organisers choose the best paintings in terms of theme compliance, creativity and colour balance and neatness but also gave the kids valuable art tips. Artist and Activist Mr. Baadal Nanjundaswamy said, “I see a lot of potential in the children that have participated in this event. They all had a good understanding of the topic and illustrated them very well. I hope that some of them take it on as a career in the future.”
