Padma Shri Padma Sachdev Govt PG College for Women hosts webinar on “Resume Preparation, Interview Skills”

JAMMU : Padma Shri Padma Sachdev, Government P. G. College for Women, Gandhi Nagar Jammu, in Collaboration with District Employment Counselling Centre, Jammu organized a webinar on “Resume Preparation and Interview Skills” for the students, here today.

The Patron and Principal of the College, Dr. Sangita Nagari laid emphasis on organizing more such employability and skill development programmes for the benefit of the students and achieving the aim of the education . She also appreciated the efforts of the Organising Committee and District Employment and Counseling Centre Jammu.

Prof. Ambica Kumari, Nodal Officer for Career Counseling & Coordinator for school linkages , Manodarpan, welcomed the patron(s) of the programme , Dr. Sangita Nagari, Principal of the College and Dr. Manisha Kaul, Deputy Director, DECC, Jammu. She also welcomed the Resource Person and the participants. Over 100 students participated in the online programme.

alvinder Singh, State Head HCL Technologies for Himachal Pradesh and J&K was the Resource Person. He informed the students that CV is a very in-depth document that describes a career journey step by step and resume is a short straight-to-the-point document created for the purpose of applying to a specific job. He guided the participants in preparing Curriculum Vitae (CV) and Resume. The participants also learnt about Interview skills. The Resource Person also responded to the queries raised by the students.

In the end, Shivali Choudhary, Employment Officer DE&CC presented the Vote of thanks.
