Pathways World School, Aravali makes landfall in Cambridge

Gurugram: Pathways World School, Aravali is thrilled to share the impressive achievement of five of its students who got through the University of Cambridge, one of the world’s oldest and leading educational institutions. The School takes tremendous pride in the students’ exceptional feat as never in its history have five students from the same batch got admission to the University of Cambridge.

The common factors among all the five students who got admission to the University of Cambridge were dedication and perseverance and, above all, unflinching zeal to pursuing their aspirations by studying and working relentlessly hard to expand their understanding beyond classroom learning. From the very onset of their International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), with adequate support from the academic staff and College Advisory Department, these students stayed focused on their goal despite the challenges brought in by the Covid 19 pandemic.

Out of the five students, Vedika G Mandapati scored a perfect 45 in the IBDP and is currently pursuing a Human, Social, and Political Sciences course from the Murray Edward College. The second-highest scorer, Anirudh Bhalekar scored 44 in IBDP and is studying Engineering from Peterhouse College, while Akrit Agarwal who scored 42 in IBDP, is pursuing a bachelor’s in Economics from the Lucy Cavendish College, University of Cambridge, UK.

Tushti Hari who also scored 42 in IBDP got accepted for Psychological & Behavioral Sciences at Homerton College, University of Cambridge, UK. However being underage, she has deferred her offer for September 2022 joining. Varushka Bhushan who scored 39 in IBDP has opted for Political Science from Science Po, The Paris Institute of Political Studies, France. The School deeply respects and regards how these students have exercised discernment with regard to the respective course selection to suit their learning requirements, personality traits, bent of mind, and choice of career.

Congratulating students on their remarkable achievement, Ms. Sonya Ghandy Mehta, School Director, Pathways World School, Aravali, said, “We would like to extend our sincere most felicitations to these students as they have made us immensely proud. We are exhilarated by their phenomenal achievements and wish them a rewarding and successful career in their chosen fields. Never did we doubt our students’ abilities and our offerings, but this has definitely boosted our spirits, and we at Pathways would continue to help our students in achieving their dreams and setting a mark in the global scape.”

During the recent submission process of college applications, 139 students of the class of 2021 of Pathways World School, Aravali, received more than 532 offers from some of the world’s most sought-after universities like the John Hopkins, New York University, University of Southern California, London School of Economics, Kings College London and University of Warwick to name a few.

The IBDP is widely regarded as one of the world’s most balanced, all-encompassing, and at the same time most challenging pre-university programs. The IBDP aims to help students develop a deeper perspective, broader outlook, and vast knowledge-base, which further aids them to flourish not just intellectually but also emotionally, physically, and ethically.
