Patriotic Lecture dedicated to the Day of the Rescuer

On December 27, the Russian Federation celebrates the Day of the Rescuer of the Russian Federation.
Teachers of the Department of Life Safety and Health-Saving Technologies E.S. Galashova and A.A. Pashkov held an educational patriotic event dedicated to the heroic feat of rescuers, which they perform every day in their service.

On December 27, 1990, on the basis of a resolution of the Council of Ministers of the RSFSR, the Russian Rescue Corps was created. This structure became the prototype of the Ministry for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters (EMERCOM of the Russian Federation), created a little later. On the Day of the Rescuer of the Russian Federation, it is necessary to emphasize once again that courageous people working in the EMERCOM of Russia, in other structures and formations responsible for rescuing people and fighting the consequences of emergencies, are worthy of honor and respect. These are real warriors who risk their own lives in the same way, and often give them up in the name of saving other lives. The lifeguard profession retains its romantic aura and a certain prestige, so many young people willingly enter the service in the Ministry of Emergency Situations, in specialized educational institutions.

The trainees learned about the history of the lifeguard profession, the risks that rescuers face in the course of their difficult service, as well as the complex of moral and volitional qualities that people of this heroic profession must possess.

Let us remind you that a student rescue team “Bastion” was founded on the basis of the Institute of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism of PetrSU , the participants of which are students of the direction “Technosphere Safety” . The guys successfully pass the certification for qualification “Rescuer” and have the right to conduct search and rescue operations in the emergency zone.

In 2019, the Bastion squad took part in the All-Russian competitions among student rescue teams (Vologda Oblast), and some of the children were trained at the Vector of Salvation All-Russian Youth Educational Forum of Volunteers (Moscow).

In 2020, the Bastion detachment, as part of the all-Russian campaign #WeTogether, assisted in the work of the regional volunteer headquarters to help people in the situation of the spread of coronavirus infection.
