PetrSU at the XIV Medical Scientific and Practical Conference

Moscow hosted the XIV annual scientific and practical conference of the National Society for the Study of Atherosclerosis with international participation, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Professor V.V. Kukharchuk, “Lipids and atherosclerosis. Is the ending known? Lipids and atherosclerosis. Is the ending known?”
The conference was attended by teachers of the Medical Institute of PetrSU – head. Department of Hospital Therapy, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor N.N. Vezikova and Associate Professor of the Department of Faculty Therapy, Phthisiology, Infectious Diseases and Epidemiology, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor V.A. Kornev.

The conference presented interesting data on the 2021 European guidelines on primary and secondary prevention, demonstrated the final version of the Russian guidelines on lipid metabolism disorders, announced the registration of a new lipid-lowering drug in the Russian Federation in 2022. Much attention was paid to the residual cardiovascular risk, combined lipid-lowering therapy.

As part of the event, Natalya Nikolaevna Vezikova presented a report on the routing of patients with dyslipidemia in real clinical practice, Victoria Alekseevna Korneva – a report on the optimal treatment of familial hypercholesterolemia. The presented reports aroused great interest among the conference participants.
