PetrSU students and staff took part in the All-Russian action “Candle of Memory”

The “Candle of Memory” action was held in Petrozavodsk on the day of the 80th anniversary of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War.
On June 22, at exactly 4 am at the Memorial Complex “Mass Grave and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier with the Eternal Flame of Glory”, the All-Russian Action “Candle of Memory” took place.

The vice-rector for educational and social work of PetrSU V.K. Katarov, Deputy Vice-Rector for Educational and Social Work, Director of the Youth Innovation Park A.A. Butenko, chairman of the student trade union committee of PetrSU V.L. Antipin, student and trade union organizer of the Physico-Technical Institute A.R. Amer.

A minute of silence was announced, and then the protesters lit candles in memory of the tragic date.

June 22, 1941 is one of the saddest dates in the history of Russia. The Day of Remembrance and Sorrow is the day of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War.
