Vasily Vessart, chairman of the selection committee of the selection stage in St. Petersburg, deputy head of the Electrical Regimes Service of the Branch of SO UES of the North-West ODU, noted :
For several years now, visiting teams from universities of the Northwestern Federal District, for example, Petrozavodsk State University, have taken part in the qualifying rounds of the championship in St. Petersburg. In 2021, the Karelynaya Zashchita team distinguished themselves, having first won the qualifying stage, and then managed to reach the superfinal of the Electric Power industry in Moscow.
Vasily Vessart also drew attention to the level of the competitors:
Denis Petrushin, an employee of the Branch of SO UES JSC of the Karelian Regional Dispatch Administration, took part in the preparation of the Karelynaya Zashchita team. He also teaches at the Physics and Technology Institute of PetrSU, he himself took part in the League of Young Professionals competitions and inspired his students to take part in the championship . Thus, we see how young professionals share their experience with students. This is an example to follow!
According to the coach of the team Denis Petrushin, the student-members of the team do not intend to stop there:
We are waiting for the new academic year to start preparing for the championship, to reach a new level, to reach new heights.
