PetrSU’s victory at the international engineering championship
The team of PetrSU “Karelynaya Zashchita” won the qualifying stage of the prestigious international championship “CASE-IN” in the field of “Power Engineering” in SPbPU (St. Petersburg Polytechnic University).
The International Engineering Championship CASE-IN is an international competition system for solving engineering cases for schoolchildren, students and young specialists of the fuel and energy and mineral resource complexes.
The topic of the case is “Digital transformation of the electrical network at the level of operational and technological management for sustainable development.”
10 days were allocated to prepare the solution, all this time the team worked a lot, worked until late at night,

The PetrSU team included: Sergey Pimenov (4th year student, Department of Power Supply of Enterprises and Energy Saving of the Physico-Technical Institute); Sergei Nosov (3rd year, Department of Energy Supply for Enterprises and Energy Saving, Physics and Technology Institute); Elizaveta Kuchenkova (4th year, Department of Economic Theory and Management, Institute of Economics and Law); Anastasia Simanova (4th year, Department of Energy Supply for Enterprises and Energy Saving of the Physico-Technical Institute).

A total of 12 teams took part in the championship. According to the results of the championship, the PetrSU team will participate in the semifinals in the North-West Federal District in April, in which three teams from each of the three qualifying stages will enter (SPbPU, Mining University and LETI).
It should be noted that PetrSU participates in the championship for the third time: in 2016, at the qualifying stage at the Mining University, two participants from PetrSU as part of the Military Academy of Communications team took 8th place out of 11 teams, and last year the team of PetrSU took 6th place at the stage at the Polytechnic. of 13 teams. Thus, this year’s victory is a historic event,
