Placement Drive for ITI pass-outs of Jammu Division held at Hiranagar

ITC Ltd evaluates over 150 candidates for its new Jammu unit

 

KATHUA : A mega placement drive was today held in Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Hiranagar where ITC Ltd evaluated the over 150 trainees drawn from different Institutes of Jammu, Kathua, Rajouri and Samba Districts.

Trainees of different trades like Turner, Fitter, Electrician, MCSE, MMV participated in the placement drive held in collaboration with Government ITI Hiranagar under the aegis of Directorate of Skill Development J&K Jammu. The pass out Trainees were drawn from ITI Basohli/Bhaddu, ITI Kathua, ITI Hiranagar, ITI Samba, ITI Jammu, ITI Sunderbani participated.

Resource persons from ITC, Ajay Sharma, Assistant Manager (HR), ITC, Rajesh Kumar Technical Associate Mechanical ITC, Avinash Technical Associate Electrical ITC conducted the Evaluation process of the participants in the shape of written test/Viva.

Principal ITI Hiranagar, while appreciating the initiative taken by the management of the ITC to conduct placement drives at Government ITI Hiranagar, urged it to conduct such drives on a regular basis for ITI pass-out trainees of different trades.

Ajay Sharma, Assistant Manager (HR), ITC, in his address to the trainees, briefed them about the ITC company profile, about its new unit being established at Bari Brahamana, Jammu, the perks and facilities being given to the selected candidates as per the norms of the company and the procedure being adopted for short listing of the candidates.

Superintendent, Amanpreet Singh from ITI Samba and Superintendent, Ajay Kumar from ITI Kathua along with Placement Officer, Karan Singh, from Joint Directorate of Skill Development Office Jammu, Sumit Chandail Associate NCC Officer representing ITI Jammu, representatives from Government ITI Sunderbani/Kathua were also present on the occasion.
