Plan proposals under Tribal Cluster Village scheme discussed at Udhampur

Udhampur: The plan proposals for Tribal cluster village scheme were today discussed here at a meeting of line departments.
Director Tribal Affairs, Mohammad Saleem and Additional District Development Commissioner, Ashok Kumar discussed the modalities with the officers of different departments for the finalization of plan proposals for the cluster model villages including Pachound and Chapper.
At the outset, Director Tribal Affairs J&K, Mohammad Saleem gave a brief about the project. He said that the main objective of this scheme is to establish income generating units in the tribal areas and localities for reducing poverty and unemployment and creating productive assets.
The ADDC advised the concerned officers to bring some innovation in the proposal with the aim of enhancing the economy of the Cluster Tribal Model villages. He asked the concerned officers to submit the proposal within shortest possible time so that work on the projects can be started at the earliest.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Rajeev Bhushan; Assistant Commissioner Development, Mushtaq Chowdhary; Chief Horticulture Officer, Brij Vallabh Gupta; Chief Agriculture Officer, Satish Bhagat; Executive Engineer PDD, Rajinder Gupta and other officers of concerned departments.
