Plantation Drive at Aligarh Muslim University

Aligarh: A 15-day plantation drive, ‘Plant Trees, Save Environment’ was launched at the Dr B R Ambedkar Hall in which 500 saplings of various trees will be sowed in the hall premises during the monsoon season.

Launching the drive with other hall officials and staffers, Prof Hashmat Ali Khan (Provost) said that green cover provides oxygen in the time of pollution, saves species from extinction and reduces impact of natural disasters among other benefits.

Prof Wasim Ali (Proctor), hall wardens, teachers, students and non-teaching staff took part in the drive.
