Polytechnic University Students Enrich Their Skills at the IT Camp 2023 All-Russian Educational Program

From August 12 to 25, the Sirius University of Science and Technology hosted a unique all-Russian educational program to find the country’s best young IT specialists, IT Camp 2023. The event was organized by Gazprom Neft in cooperation with Sirius University. More than one hundred students from more than 20 cities and 42 universities took part in the program.

For two weeks, the guys were solving a team project, which was related to the development of innovative IT solutions that could be applied in the oil and gas industry. Students were able to demonstrate their skills and knowledge in programming, data analysis and software development.

In the finals, the teams were invited to present their projects in front of an expert jury consisting of leading representatives of Gazprom Neft and representatives of vendor organizations: VK Tech, 1C, Kaspersky Lab, Astra (Astra Linux OS), Red Soft, Yadro, Aquarius, TrueConf, VEBSOFT, R7-Office, DIS Group and PIX Robotics. The best participants were awarded prestigious prizes, including the opportunity to join teams of professionals working at Gazprom Neft.

Such events and cooperation between leading companies and universities not only help identify talented young specialists, but also stimulate the development of the IT industry in the country, which plays a key role in the development of Russia’s digital economy.
