Poshan Maah: ICDS Ramban conducts awareness programme at Dhandrath
RAMBAN : Integrated Child Development Services Project, Ramban team today visited Dhandrath – a remotest area of the District and organised an awareness programme as part of a special series of activities being held in connection with the Poshan Maah campaign.
The programme was presided over by the Child Development Project Officer, ICDS Project Ravinder Kour. Supervisor Nagina Bano and several other officials and resource persons were present on the occasion.
Aanganwari Workers, Helpers, Health Workers and PRIs participated in the programme. The mission POSHAN 2.0 focuses on strengthening nutritional content, outreach, delivery, and outcomes by developing practices that improve health, wellness, and immune response to disease and malnutrition.
Speaking on the occasion, the CDPO said that the Ministry of Women and Child Development (GOI), has announced that the POSHAN Maah will be celebrated as ‘Thematic POSHAN Maah’ across India throughout September 2021. The entire month of September will be subdivided into weekly themes for a focused and assimilated approach towards improving Holistic Nutrition, she added.
She further said that the POSHAN Abhiyaan aims to make India a malnutrition-free country by 2022. “POSHAN Abhiyaan is a people’s movement that incorporates inclusive participation from government bodies, local bodies of states or UTs, social organizations, private sector, and the public at large” she added.
