Poshan Maah; ISM Kishtwar hosts awareness camp

Kishtwar: Indian system of medicines ISM (Ayush) Kishtwar, under the overall supervision of Nodal officer Ayush Tariq Hussain, today organised an awareness camp at main ISM dispensary to celebrate month long Mission Mode programme “Poshan Maah’ which started from September 1 and last till Sep 30, 2020.
Poshan Abhiyan (National Nutrition Mission) aims at improving the nutritional Outcomes in children, adolescent girls, pregnant women and lactating mothers.
The awareness camp, which lasted for 2 days, was organised by following social distancing and other guidelines for COVID19 prevention.
During the Health and Nutrition outreach Camp, the Promotion of Nutri-gardens along with sensitization on early identification of severely mal-nourished children were held.
The main attraction of the camp was the awareness regarding the consumption of nutritional supplements and yogic activities for healthy life style of adolescent girls and mothers.
Nodal officer ISM, Tariq Hussain, yoga instructor Anil Thakur, Staff ISM dispensary kishtwar besides the locals were present in the camp.
