Poster competition to celebrate ‘Bharat ka Amrit Mahotsav’
Aligarh: Naima Haleem of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Girls School won the poster-making competition on ‘INDIA@2047, How our Country would look like after 100 years of Independence’, organised to observe the ‘Bharat ka Amrit Mahotsav’, 75-years of Indian Independence at the Department of Computer Science, AMU.
Talha Khan (AMU ABK High School-Boys) stood second, while Kumkum Lodhi (AMU ABK High School-Girls) and Aakifah Hasan (AMU Sr. Secondary School-Girls) won the third and consolation prizes respectively.
“Noor Fatima (Coordinator, CSS), Hasan Faraz Khan (Secretary, CSS), Dr Mohammad Sajid (Assistant Professor and Mentor, CSS), Dr Faisal Anwer (Assistant Professor and Mentor, CSS), Dr Swaleha Zubair (Associate Professor and Mentor, CSS) and Dr Mohammad Nadeem (Assistant Professor, Convener, CSS) were the judges,” said Prof Aasim Zafar, Chairperson, Department of Computer Science.
He also delivered the welcome address and distributed prizes to the winners.
Prof Tamanna Siddiqui and Dr Arman Rasool Faridi and Parvez Mehmood Khan (Director, Computer Center) spoke on the role of freedom fighters in the Indian struggle for independence.
