Praxis Business School concludes successful Day Zero with 93% placement for their Post Graduate Program in Data Science

Kolkat: DayZero July 2022 — the placement process of Praxis Business School’s Post-Graduate Program in Data Science (PGPDS) concluded on a high with 93% of eligible candidates receiving potentially career changing offers. Moreover, the average compensation received by the July 22 batch reached a high of 12.3 lac per annum (LPA), continuing with its upwards trend. This time it saw an improvement of 91% over the previous PGPDS DayZero.

The highest offer of Rs 16 LPA, was made to 17 students in the batch. With this, the spring batch has achieved 93% placement, just 5 months into the nine-month program. These students will now embark on a fast-track career in Data Science.

Leading companies like PwC, Colgate, PepsiCo, Wells Fargo, Abbott, ITC, WNS to name a few — participated in the campus placement process this year. Interviews kicked off at 5AM in the morning. The rush to recruit top students resulted in companies making lucrative offers to top ranking students.

The roles offered to students were for Data Scientists and Analysts. The average hike achieved by students over their previous salaries was 222%, with the highest hike being to the tune of 627.3%.

Praxis has the unique distinction of attracting students from every corner of the country to this PGPDS program. The industry focused curriculum and the academic rigor has ensured alumni from this program now occupy critical positions in industry. They also serve as ambassadors and referral sources for new applicants to this program. This is underlined by the repeat presence of recruiters who attend the process every placement season.
