Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that it makes every Indian proud to see the bust of Mahatma Gandhi at the United Nation Headquarters.
Responding to a tweet by United Nation Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, Mr Modi hoped that the Gandhian thoughts and ideals make the planet more prosperous and further sustainable development.
The UN Secretary-General has said Mahatma Gandhi was an uncompromising advocate for peaceful co-existence, non-discrimination and pluralism.
He said, the new installation of the bust of Mahatma Gandhi at UN Headquarters will serve as a reminder of the values Gandhi upheld.
