PSPS GCW Gandhinagar hosts awareness lecture on education abroad

JAMMU : The Career Counselling and Placement Cell of Padma Shri Padma Sachdev Government College for Women, Gandhinagar organised an awareness lecture on “Education Abroad Opportunities” in the college today.

The programme began with a formal welcome of the chief guest, Prof Minu Mahajan, Principal of the college; Prof Neelam Bhagat, Associate Professor in the Department of Home Science; and Vinay Kamal, Lead Counsellor of Gateway Abroad Consultants for Higher Education Abroad.

Prof Mahajan encouraged students to break out of their cocoons and fly high in pursuit of their ambitions. She added that a lack of guidance can hinder progress but the efforts of the college’s Career Counselling Cell have provided opportunities to students at their doorstep.

In his interactive presentation, Vinay Kamal talked about various courses offered by foreign universities, their selection process and an overview of admission guidance and visa assistance. He also motivated and informed students about IELTS, GRE and GMAT tests to help them fulfill their dream of pursuing higher education abroad.

The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Prof Sugandha and concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Prof Suman Bala. The entire programme was coordinated by Prof Rajni Kumari, Convener of the Career Counselling Cell, and members Prof Renu Rajput, Prof Malti Rajput and Prof Rajinder Kumar.
