Rajouri admin finalises Priority Plan under PMAGY Scheme

Rajouri: District Administration Rajouri today finalised priority works under Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana for development of villages having maximum Scheduled Caste population. The Scheme is targeted towards villages that have an SC population of 50 percent and aims at the integrated development of such villages.

District Development Commissioner, Rajesh Kumar Shavan, chaired a meeting with the Committee members to finalise and discuss the plan prepared by the District Social welfare Officer, who is also the member Secretary of the Committee.

District Social Welfare Officer informed that under the scheme, Rs 20 lakh is earmarked for each village for development in six identified sectors.

In this context, need based assessment in consultation with the stakeholders of the concerned village, has been done and works under designated sectors have been identified for execution in these villages.

The DDC directed the officers of RDD, Social Welfare, Jal Shakti, PWD and other departments to prioritize the works with high outcome and fill the infrastructural gaps in the identified villages. Ater thorough discussion the committee finalised the priority works.
