Reasi admin expedites Panchayat level registration of contractors

Reasi: On the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Charandeep Singh, Rural Development Department, in consultation with Public Works and Jalshakti departments, organized special camps at district headquarter to register “D” class contractors for various Panchayats.

During the two day camps, aspiring contractors from blocks Katra, Panthal, Pouni, Reasi, Jij Bagli, Arnas, Thakrakote and Bhomag attended on the first day and from blocks Chasana, Mahore, Gulabgarh and Thuroo, turned up on the second day.

In the camps, valuable information on the registration process was also provided to all participants. As per official information, a total of 125 contractors under “D” class category have been registered so far while as for others more camps shall be held in coming weeks.

Meanwhile, Assistant Commissioner Development, Dr. Anirudh Rai has instructed the BDOs to inform the aspiring people of every nook and corner of the blocks and mobilize them for registration so that maximum works can be executed at panchayat level.
